Not all Skins can be found in Skincrates as some can only be obtained through different means, like a code, such as the Spring Time Commander or from Season Passes, such as the Ducky skins. Skins are just cosmetic overhauls of the tower in question, with no added bonus. You cannot get a skin for a tower that you do not own. A specific skin for a specific tower cannot be chosen beforehand. Using a Skincrate will randomly assign a skin that can be obtained from that crate to you. To open a Skincrate, you must go into the Crates section of your inventory while in the lobby and open the crate in question. You can buy excess Skincrates, but for some Skincrates, they cannot be used, and for others, they will give you a skin that you already own. One Skincrate unlocks one skin and each Skincrate has a limited amount of skins to unlock. The Golden Skincrate also unlocks a Golden Perk along the Golden skin, which affect multiple parts of the tower, mainly being its stats.Įach Skincrate has specific skins that generally only they can unlock, with some exceptions. Some Skincrates can be obtained through Daily Rewards, Rewards or Season Passes. This means they cannot be bought after the event has ended. Some Skincrates are event-exclusive, such as the Bunny Skincrate and the Spooky Skincrate. Skincrates can be bought with Coins, Robux or event currencies, like Shards. Skincrates in Tower Defense Simulator are items used to for the most part unlock Skins for towers. ![]()
